Bad Acne and How to Treat It
The oil glands on your face, back and chest produce oil which is used to lubricate the skin through your pores. When dead skin cells are not cleaned out of the pores by this flushing action they become clogged, which is the starting of a pimple. The oils will keep trying to come through the clogged pore like normal and the pimple gets worse and enlarges. This whole process of creating a pimple takes a couple of weeks weeks. The different types of acne that may form are pimples, cyst and nodules. Bacteria is present in and on your acne and is the cause of the inflammation.
If you ignore your acne it will become a problem. If you do not take extra care of your skin during the teen years, acne may progress to the point it would be hard to get rid of, acne or pimples could be with you from 5 to 10 years. There are some people who are more prone to acne due to genetics and such. If someone in your family has acne, you may also have problems. You must wash your face at least twice a day to clean off the excess oils so the pores do not clog up. You can use regular soap but if you see blackheads or whiteheads forming switch to medicated acne face cleanser. That would be all the more reason to start early in your care of your skin.
If you do have bad acne you should see your doctor or a dermatologist. They would be able to evaluate your acne and skin type and prescribe medication that would be appropriate for you. It may be a lotion that would go directly on the skin or possibly oral medication. The doctor would track your progress to make sure you have no side effects and that the medicine is doing its job. Do not expect the acne to go away overnight, it could take up to eight weeks till you see results. You just need to be patient, for it will eventually go away.

go to the health food store like whole foods. but you should know just because a product says no animal testing only mean it as a whole hasn't been tested but each ingredient at some point has been. you need to go to the doctor because acne is a medical condition! no matte how mild it is.

The first thing is to keep your face clean… if you have oily skin… wash your face in every 1-2 hrs with a very mild soap or face wash.. the second thing is avaoid toucking your face using your hand and nails this will leave permanent marks on your face… now regarding the mediciens… no medicine will show the effect in one night.. you will have to use the creams for atleast one month … I am from India and I used Erithromycene USP for few months and to my surprise there is not even a single mark on my skin… just search on Google in your are which cream has erithromysin in it… keep your face always clean… use clean towel everyday …
